Corrugated cardboard production process

1. Working principle of single-sided machine (positive pressure single-sided machine):

Principle overview: The corrugated base paper is formed by the upper and lower corrugating rollers, pasted by the upper paste roller, the surface paper and the formed corrugated paper are pasted at the tangent between the pressure roller and the upper corrugated roller to form a two-layer corrugated cardboard, and then passed by the transfer belt to the overpass to The part of the double-sided machine is compounded with other single corrugated cardboard and face paper.

Raw paper classification

(1) Corrugating medium

The national standards are divided into four categories: A, B, C, and D. D-grade corrugated paper is basically eliminated by the market, and few manufacturers buy and use it.

(2) Linerboard (linerboard)

Kraft cardboard (American card, Russian card). Features: long fiber, heavy sizing, high physical strength, rough board; pure wood pulp or a small amount of OCC. Abbreviation: imported cow card.

Faux kraft cardboard. Features: 15-25% wood pulp is hung on the surface, and the rest is OCC; the fiber is shorter and the strength is worse than that of kraft cardboard. The paper surface is flat, with different degrees of sizing (water absorption ranging from 30-55g/m2), and surface dyeing treatment. Abbreviation: domestic cattle card.

White cardboard. White-faced kraft bottom, bleached wood pulp on the surface, the rest is natural or dyed wood pulp. (Russian white, Swedish white card, Finnish white card); white board paper (bleached wood pulp on the surface, the rest is deinked or non-deinked waste paper); coated white board paper (white with white background, white with gray background, —) .

recycled paper. It is all composed of OCC, but it is different from corrugated paper. The surface is AOCC vermicelli above 11# and has been dyed). The market is generally called C-grade container board, and some are called T paper.

2. Basic properties of carton base paper.

Physical indicators: quantitative, moisture, tightness, bursting strength (bursting index), ring compressive strength (ring pressure index), positive/reverse water absorption, folding resistance.

Appearance indicators: smoothness, color difference, whiteness.

Specific base paper standards refer to: GB13023 (national standard for corrugated paper), GB13024 (national standard for containerboard paper). Relevant items refer to the latest industry trends or standards.
